For a lot of us, baseball is one of our favorite sports, especially in the United States. Many grow up playing baseball in school or local leagues during the summer, and even as adults many love watching it on TV. One of the most important elements of the sport is the baseball bat, and today I’m going to help you draw one. But before we begin, here is a cool fact: The fastest baseball pitch ever recorded was over 105 mph. That’s faster than many cars drive on the highway.
Here’s an easy step by step tutorial that will help you create a simple and easy baseball bat drawing. It takes less than 2 minutes to complete. Let’s get started!

Please note: In each step, the new parts of the drawing will be highlighted in orange, while everything you’ve already drawn will stay in black.
Step 1: Draw the baseball bat barrel

Start by drawing a long “U” shape tilted at an angle. This will be the thickest part of the bat where the ball hits. Keep the top nice and rounded.
Step 2: Draw the baseball bat handle

From the bottom of the barrel, draw two shorter lines pointing down. Make these lines much closer together than the first ones. This creates the narrow handle for the batter to hold.
Step 3: Draw the baseball bat knob

At the very bottom of the handle, draw a small horizontal oval. This connects the two lines and forms the knob at the end of the bat.
Color the baseball bat drawing

Now you can add some color! Use a light brown or tan for the wood and a bright color like green or red for the handle grip. I’ve also added two curved lines so it can look like you’re swinging the bat.
We’re all done

Great job finishing your drawing! You should be proud of how it turned out. I’ve attached a full step by step picture so you can save it and draw later at your own pace. If you enjoyed this baseball bat drawing, you may also love to draw a baseball to go along with it so it looks the bat is hitting the baseball. Do check out my baseball drawing tutorial here.
Keep practicing and soon you’ll be able to draw easily.
