How to Draw a Strawberry Step by Step | Simple Easy Drawing

Hi everyone, welcome to Simple Easy Drawing! Today, we’re going to learn how to draw a strawberry. If you’re looking for a strawberry drawing easy enough to draw under a minute, this tutorial is perfect for you.

Strawberries are the only fruit that wear their seeds on the outside, which makes them truly unique. With their red color, green leaves, and tiny seeds, they look like hearts from nature. Whether you’ve seen them in ice creams, gardens, or your favorite cartoons, a strawberry in is always full of color and happiness.

Here’s an easy step by step tutorial that will help you create a simple strawberry drawing:

Materials you will need

  • A piece of paper
  • An HB pencil
  • A dust-free eraser
  • A black sketch pen for outlines
  • Crayons or color pencils for coloring

Let’s get started

Please note: In each step, the new parts of the drawing will be highlighted in orange, while everything you’ve already drawn will stay in black.

Step 1: Draw a wide U shape

Draw a wide U shape for the bottom of the strawberry

Start by drawing a U shape that’s wide at the top. This will be the base of your strawberry. Keep it smooth and short.

Step 2: Close the shape

Close the top of the U shape to form the outline of the strawberry.

Connect the top ends of the U with a soft curved line. The shape should now look like an upside-down blunt triangle.

Step 3: Add the stem

Add a small stem on top of the strawberry.

On top of your strawberry, draw a short loop or small rectangle. This is the stem, where it connects to the plant.

Step 4: Add the leafy crown

Draw the leafy crown around the stem.

Draw a few small loops or pointed shapes around the stem. These are the green leaves that give the strawberry its lovely crown.

Step 5: Add the seeds

Add tiny oval seeds across the strawberry.

Draw tiny dots or ovals across the strawberry. These are the seeds that make it look realistic and give it that classic texture.

Step 6: Color your strawberry

Color the strawberry red with green leaves and yellow seeds.

Use red for the fruit, green for the leaves, and brown or yellow for the seeds. Leave a tiny white spot if you want to make your strawberry look shiny and juicy.
